Chair Yoga Series

Often we think of chair yoga as a mediocre substitute for mat yoga. In this class, we will approach chair yoga differently. Expect to move gently, but also challenge ourselves at the same time.

In this series, we will

  • focus on postural alignment

  • build arm, core, and leg strength

  • load our bones and joints safely with just enough effort to get stronger over time

  • increase the mobility of our joints

This class is not only a great fit for seniors, those recovering from injury, and those new-to-yoga, but it's also great for anyone looking for a creative and revitalized approach to your current yoga practice.

During class you will be encouraged to move at your own pace, skip anything that doesn’t feel right, and know that plenty of modifications will be offered along the way. Expect seated postures
and standing postures, eliminating the need to transition from standing to the floor and from the floor to standing.

Pull up a chair and let's get moving!

Sessions will take place on 6 Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 pm on the following dates:

April 7, April 14 (skip April 21), April 28, May 5, May 12 and May 19.

Cost is $150 for all 6 sessions or $30 per session - Guru Members receive 10% off either option.

Dress comfortably, chairs will be provided. Rachel looks forward to practicing with you!

Pre-registration required as space is limited. Workshops are non-refundable. Credit will not be given for missed sessions.
