Tawny Newberry

Hello my name is Tawny.

Three words to describe me are warm, welcoming and encouraging.

When I’m not teaching yoga, I am outdoors, hiking, at the beach, taking yoga classes or connecting with my practice at home.

My ideal morning is waking up after a deep 9-10 hour sleep, springing out of bed in the early morning, meditating then cuddling with my dog on the couch with blankets, the candles lit and tea in my hand. Somehow Hidden Kitchen blue waffles appear in front of me!! Then my partner, dog and I go on a hike into nature, fully immersed. We enjoy a beautiful sunny surf morning and sauna afterwards.

I dream about living in full harmony with the Earth and nature as native people once did; in a society that prioritizes intentional time with it, honors its wisdom and cares for its sacredness.

I am grateful for truly everything in my life; my chosen family, the little things that make my day and messages from the universe & loved ones.

Yoga has taught me how to deepen my connection with myself, the universe and Earth; how to tap into this beautiful energy larger than us that is unconditional love.

I love to teach a Hatha or Vinyasa based sequence incorporating an even flow throughout class, consistent emphasis on the breath and sometimes a guided meditation or intention setting practice.

Three words to describe my teaching style are creative, empowering and safe.

As a teacher, I am my students’ #1 fan! I am so honored to witness and be a part of their practice and I am inspired by their dedication, openness and the sweetness they bring to the room.

Music you might hear in my class ranges but is primarily instrumental, motivating and calming.

My yoga experience includes a 15 year personal practice and a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Kelly at Harmony House in 2025.

I am excited to be a part of the Harmony House community because I have never felt more at home in my life, surrounded by genuine, loving people every second I’m there. It’s truly magic.

Nicole Moore

Hello my name is Nicole Moore.

Three words to describe me are compassionate, joyful and adventurous.

When I’m not teaching yoga, I am exploring the wilderness, hanging out with my dog and being a beach bum! I also work in the hotel business in Pismo Beach, I went to Cal Poly SLO for a degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism. I volunteer for the 5 Cities Homeless Coalition and the SLO Foodbank in my free time.

My ideal morning is watching sunrise with a cup of coffee, sitting in meditation with my sangha, enjoying a Hatha yoga class at Harmony House and grabbing some locally grown and baked goods at Kelly’s farm stand, then walking my dog on the beach.

I dream about yoga sequencing, traveling the world and living in connection with nature and the earth.

I am grateful for my yoga journey, Harmony House and the ocean! I have a daily gratitude practice and yoga is always on my list.

Yoga has taught me how to accept all things as they are in this moment, and this moment, and this moment; staying present and flexible because everything is always changing. Being physically flexible is not the end goal but perhaps quieting the analytical and sometimes judgmental mind is. Calm the body, quiet the mind.

I love to teach Hatha and gentle sequences where we slow it down and explore the mind-body connection more deeply through simple and effective asana and pranayama.

Three words to describe my teaching style are simple, authentic and accessible.

As a teacher, I strive to teach a safe and gentle class while still building some heat, share information on anatomy, functional movement, neuroscience, and explore basic spiritual concepts from the Yoga Sutras and traditional yoga teachings.

Music you might hear in my class is mostly instrumental and might include some mantras in Sanskrit. I love artists like Essie Jane, Cellomano and Porangui.

My yoga experience includes props most of the time and always offers modifications for all levels of students.

I am excited to be a part of the Harmony House community because this space has created a group of dedicated yogis that I am honored to learn alongside, as we are all lifelong students in this practice.
